No more crutches!

So after 11 days of crutches, we are now crutch-FREE!

Upon our second set of X-rays, her broken ankle is healing nicely. Here's the big day walking into the doctors office on what would become her last day of crutches.

So we were instructed we could lose the crutches, kept the boot and we will go back for round 3 (X-rays) in three weeks time. If all looks well and if she feels okay to lose the boot, we'll try that and then we'll be HOME FREE!

It's so odd that when we unwrap her foot and take the boot off (for bathing or X-rays) that her ankle is STILL black & blue. Crazy!

She's really been a trooper with this whole broken ankle bit. It's hard to not be able to run & play outside with friends in this nice weather we've had lately. And the crutches were really rough the first few days, but she got the hang of them pretty quick. And she's no longer in a lot of pain, so that's good.

Here's to 2.5 more weeks of this boot and praying for a full recovery!
