First Day of School 2011

It's the first school year for us here in Pleasant Grove, UT. Just as I typed that out, I typed "CA" instead of "UT". It's definately been an adjustment. But things keep getting better for us here.

The kids started school at Valley View Elementary the last week in August. Poor kiddos had a short summer, but they didn't complain much. The excitement of new friends was in the air! And we live 3 blocks from school, so we still get to walk everyday. Something we've been used to and are grateful for. Though come winter...I might be singing a different tune :)

Spencer is in 3rd grade (nevermind the fact his mother signed him up for 2nd...oops!) and has Mrs. Gourley. We've heard wonderful things about her.

Leda is in 1st grade and has Mrs. White. Her joke was "Last year I had Mrs. Brown. This year, Mrs. White. Next year I'd like Mrs. Pink or Purple---they would be my favorite!" We had a good laugh.




I love that both teachers have pianos in their rooms. I'm room mom for Leda's class and co-room mom for Spencers. I'm happy to be involved and have this outlet for meeting new people.




Chase began his last year of preschool on September 8th. He was a bit hesitant...it's his first year without "Grandma's preschool" but he's doing fabulous. And loves his teachers Mrs. Bethany and Mrs. Marsha. He also has some serious love for his backpack and the fact that he gets to do homework like his siblings.




Can't quite believe my kiddos are this big. They need to knock it off.

I love to see the Temple

It was so fun to be in Salt Lake City for the first time today with the kids. My Dad is singing with the Men's choir for the Priesthood session of Conference this coming Saturday. We got to hear him practice tonight!

Scouts

I know he doesn't *look* excited, but trust me, this little scout is ALL about this bottle rocket launch tonight at pack meeting! I love being a mom to boys.
