We have pretty terrific neighbors, and today Moms Shandi, Rachel & I opted to do a quick impromptu Easter Egg hunt with the kiddos.

Shandi had the neatest idea and I felt like a Moron for not having come up with this idea for years past! Inside some of the eggs she'd put a small piece of paper with a "prize" written on it. I loved this idea because then kids aren't getting loaded up on tons of sugar as the prizes ranged from bubbles, to play dough, to juice boxes to cadbury eggs (or anything that can't fit inside a small egg) and finally the GRAND prize was a ball. And guess who got it? Leda was on cloud nine.
Rachel's mother-in-law had a cute idea too. She took a Sharpie & wrote on hard-boiled eggs money amounts. Ranging from 25 cents to $1. There were two $1 eggs hidden and wouldn't you know the same person (Dax) found both! Chase was stoked to earn 25 cents in his stash...
We're glad for good neighbors and friends and are ready for ROUND TWO (with family) this weekend!
